Quote of the Day

“Don’t aim at success — the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it.  For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue… as the unintended side-effect of one’s personal dedication to a course greater than oneself.”

–Viktor Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning

What do you think?

Have you ever aimed at something you wanted and missed?  Have you aimed at something you wanted and nailed it?  I’d love to hear your own experience about seeking success or happiness and whether or not you think Frankl has a point.  Please comment below:

I needed this! Yes, I have aimed, and the arrow came right back to me like a boomerang. Instead of overexerting myself, I was reminded (in the gunfire) to do it for the sheer pleasure. Now things are fun and the success is tapping me on the shoulder. 🙂
